Am in love with her melanin

"What do you like about me?"

Men out there dating black girls, what can you give her as the best answer when she asks you this question? Of course, you are in love with her personality, but what do you like about her? It once faced me and I spent nearly thirty minutes just staring at her without getting the best suitable answer.

Honestly, it may seem like a simple question but the answer is very hard to find. It is even harder saying that you fell in love with what the world has made her believe that it is not considered as a qualification for beauty. In that state, you are trying to find a nice way to convince her that her skin colour is actually what makes her attractive.

After a long time of pondering, I told her that I liked everything about her. Guess what was her reply:

‘I know!’ As she frowns.

I knew her very well and this was an indication that I needed to find the best answer since she was not so pleased with this one.

A black ancient Egyptian queen

I believe that we all have different tastes when it comes to choosing someone we love. Therefore, if someone prefers one person to the other then it doesn’t mean that we hate the other person, after all, it’s always God who provides a partner for everyone. As Africans, we are all beautifully created in all our shades; black, light or brown, are all gorgeous.

When you finally choose someone to love, it means that you were in love with how he or she initially looked. Forcing them to later change would be unfair. People should be confident with how their body looks, so anytime you want to change how you look then let it be for health reasons or your personal preferences but not to be accepted in a certain society. Be cautious not to anger the God that made you the way you are!

It is so sad that western propaganda has been misleading Africans. Many black people are brainwashed to a lowered self-esteem. Most of them bleach their skin to fit in the definition of beauty in the European standards. It is something that most of us have faced while growing up. We have been made to believe that for people to be beautiful then they have to be anything but not black. That is miseducation.

You cannot measure the beauty of a black woman by European standards. Black women are beautiful in their unique way; beautiful in their many shades and diverse physical appearances. Men, if you want a slim or thick woman or one with Sarah Baartman hips, all you need is to get a melanated queen. We black men are so blessed to have black women as our mates. However, propaganda has made many of us blind to appreciate these jewels of our race. As a result, we have looked down upon our black women which has greatly affected our race.

Musicians Beyonce and Jay-Z

The secret to a might race is the existence of strong families, American rapper Jay-Z knew this secret. His marriage with Beyonce which has lasted for over 20 years, has made them a favourite couple whom every black youth admires. The king and queen have joined efforts and built an empire. Jay-Z and Beyonce are more than lovers, they are parents and business partners.

Just like other Africans who have fallen victim to this racial mess, It was not until I exposed myself to the world of self-realization that I later realized that black skin is not only beautiful but a symbol of royalty. It is not a budge of shame but glory as taught to us by our race leaders. A melanin queen like Lupita Nyongo could draw respect and admiration from the world due to her beauty and amazing talent. I wish to inform you that black was a colour of royalty in ancient Egypt and the entire Nile valley civilization.

You will be shocked to realize that the first Britons were also black. Archaeologists discovered and reconstructed a man, ten thousand old who they called him 'Cheddar man'. His discovery proves that the early Britons were dark-skinned people who later turned Caucasoid while responding to the climatic conditions of the then cold Europe.

Scholar Carol Barnes in his book proves that melanin is the chemical key to black greatness. To be born black is to be lucky but sadly the world has made black a badge of shame until men like Marcus Garvey took to the world stage to prove it otherwise with slogans like ‘BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL’ ‘BLACK DON’T CRACK’ and many other slogans about our identity.

Black women, No one should make you feel ashamed of your skin colour, your kinky hair, smart short nose and cute thick lips. Great queens who resembled you ruled the earth and are today's world-historical figures. Queens like Amanirenas of Kush, Queen Charlotte of Britain, and Nefertiti of Ancient Egypt, they are too many to talk about in a short blog.

When you look at a black woman you are looking at a goddess, a queen, a warrior woman and the mother of the planet because she gave birth to all human beings on this planet. It is scientifically accepted that she is the only woman carrying the eve gene that is responsible for giving birth to different coloured people. So now, isn't black a colour to be proud of?

Black women put on your crown and remind the world of who you are! You are Queens!
